Hoboken’s Southwest Park is New Jersey’s first resilient park, complete with bioswales, permeable pavement, and infrastructure to store up to 200,000 gallons of runoff. According to Mayor Dawn Zimmer, “this park serves as a first-of-its-kind in the state for integrating green infrastructure into parks to reduce flooding.” The Southwest park also features a dog run, restroom facilities, pop-up market space, an amphitheater, and a playground space. Dagher Engineering is providing the electrical distribution and plumbing and sanitary designs.
