NORTH HAVEN TOWN CENTER, NORTH HAVEN, CT


The new 2 million square-foot mixed-use development will occupy a former Pratt & Whitney site and offer Class A office and retail space, as well as a mix of residential units including high-rise residential, and town houses.  Given its large size, the complex will be developed in phases over the course of several years.

Dagher Engineering’s design focused on minimizing the environmental impact of this development.  The firm established guidelines and specifications to guide the rehabilitation of the site and the design and construction of buildings.  The site is designed to adhere to strict precedents intended to reduce the consumption of natural resources, as well as minimize the impact on the surrounding natural habitat.

The site design incorporated the treatment and re-use of black and rain water, the incorporation of solar power for the residential component of the development, and the use of geothermal technology to address some of the site’s mechanical requirements.
