Dagher Engineering PLLC

29 Broadway

As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility, Dagher Engineering designed its new office space to achieve LEED Gold certification, the first engineering firm in New York City to obtain LEED certification for its offices. As both the MEP engineer and the LEED consultant, focus was placed on fully integrating energy-efficient systems, incorporating natural light, utilizing sustainably-sourced finishes and materials, and promoting exceptional indoor air quality. Dagher Engineering also designed the electro-mechanical systems for the retrofit of the entire building, originally constructed in 1930, improving overall marketability while sharply reducing operating costs.

Individual temperature control for each tenant space reduced heating costs by more than 35%. The new, energy-efficient chilled water plant, available to tenants 24/7, proved a 2.5-year payback over the previously available chilled water plant. And in addition to lowered operating costs and increased efficiency, Dagher secured an ENERGY STAR rating for the building (no small feat for an 85-year old building).
